We write and play pop (punkasfuck) alt country jams, about boys and places we would rather be.
We are from Auckland,NZ. We started this blog as a we wanted to play support for a really cool band, that we really admire and respect and we thought that if they saw said blog they might offer us a support slot, alas wrong place wrong time wrong location.
We love the music and thats what we do.
Friends are welcome to contact us at wildwoodlights at gmail.com or our myspace, peace and lovexx.

This is our friend Hayden

This is our friend Hayden when he was younger

He plays in many bands including The Subterranes and Lisa Crawley and the Conversations. He will also be appearing in our music video for Town & Country - coming sometime (maybe) to a screen near you.
Today is his 24th birthday which makes him a Scorpio. Well he’s actually on the cusp, but that makes him perfect for all you Pisces, Capricorn, Virgo and Cancer girls. He likes long walks on the beach and holding hands. Well, we’re just taking a guess at that, to communicate how much of a great guy he is. Any potential girlfriends should e-mail their interest to wildwoodlights@gmail.com so we can vet all potential applicants.
Happy Birthday Hayden (sorry the cake missed the 4)

So taking a break from all the video and photo posting, I thought it would be nice to give an update about us!
We recently did an interview for the good folks over at Under the Radar. You can check it out here.
We’ve also got a few shows coming up over the next couple of weeks.
First off is this Thursday, November 19th at the Wine Cellar with Debutantes and Matthew Crawley.

Next up is Saturday night at the Wine Cellar celebrating the Gladeyes album release with Ghost Wave too. You may remember that we did some baking vocals for the gals earlier in the year. We haven’t heard the album yet, but all the girls’ hard work seems to have paid off as they’ve been getting rave reviews. Check some of them out here, here (with a free download) and here. Make sure you come along and buy an album and if you can’t make it, go down to your local record store (if such a thing exists anymore) and ask for it.

And finally, we’ve got a show on Friday November 27th with Public Hair and Dinosaur Club at the Dogs Bollix. We’ll be on first so make sure you come early to catch us play.
