Girl Crush - Zoe Foster
Zoe Foster is my latest girl crush.

She’s pretty awesome. She used to be the Beauty editor of Cosmopolitan, then Harper’s Bazaar, and now she’s contributing editor at Mamamia.com.au and still writes a dating column for Cosmo.
In amongst all this, she’s found time to write 5 books - 3 novels, a romance guide (with her bf, Hamish Blake, although they were just friends at the time) and Amazing Face, which is kind of a beauty guide for dummies like me.

Her columns and video blogs on Mamamia are really great and her tips are completely affordable. For instance one of her 3 beauty products she’s loving is a $12.95 Maybelline Eyeshadow.
I’ve already changed the way I dry my hair thanks to her column here. Seriously, your hair will thank you for this!
She also has the best looking cat I’ve ever seen

Even after a haircut

And a super cute and funny boyfriend to boot

Minor Celebredom
While I was busy taking photos of bands at Harvest, the Mess and Noise photographer was busy taking photos of me.
Firstly nestled in behind in the second row here (with hat and glasses, going incognito)

Then here, mid clap on the right for the Flaming Lips

Then after the photo comes this comment on the Mess and Noise forums:
“Is that Hannah, with new glasses?”
Firstly, yes it is Hannah, but no, these are the same glasses as usual.
Secondly - uhhhh, I read the Mess and Noise forums, but have never actively participated in them before. Since when did people know me? Not even a “Hannah from Wildwood Lights” or putting my last name. Just Hannah. I have a vague feeling about who may have made the comment, but I’m not 100% sure as it’s just a username, not their real name.

Harvest
Highlights
- Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Even although I’ve seen them once this year, I forgot how good they are.
- Bright Eyes. Don’t get me wrong, I love Conor & co, but wasn’t expecting a great show. They surprised me however, I really enjoyed them. And Conor actually performs with a lot of energy. Loved him singing Lua on acoustic guitar while Nate played trumpet.
- Flaming Lips. Just magical
- The venue. Werribee Park is a beautiful place for a festival.
- Not drinking alcohol. Meaning I didn’t have to queue for an hour to get coupons and then another 30 minutes to get drinks.
Lowlights
- Pain in the ass traffic men and unclear signs meaning an extra half hour to get to the venue.
- The National. I try to like them, I really do. But I just can’t.
- Stupid bitches next to me pushing and pushing during Bright Eyes. You’re not going to win Conor over with your tone deaf singing and rudeness so just calm down.
- Taking 30 minutes to get from the Flaming Lips back to the car.
- Taking more than a hour to get out of the car park.
